Club House bought from Jarrow & Hebburn Golf Club and erected in the Summer of '49.

Fortification was necessary because of frequent raids by the Ravenworth Ruffians from Wrekenton

The Castle lives on, in the Club badge, as well as the gate in Gingling Gate
